In her engagement with painting, Tatjana Doll (* 1970 in Burgsteinfurt, lives in Berlin) points far beyond the conventional boundaries of her chosen medium. An essential aspect of her work is the exploration of the socio-political contexts of her subjects, which she translates into large-scale enamel and oil paintings in a direct, quick, and sometimes raw painting style. The selected works shown at the KINDL exude a feeling of unrest, threat, and danger that is evident in the various subtexts of the works.
