Luís Paulo Costa's "Janeiro-Dezembro" exhibition at the Salão da Sociedade Nacional de Belas Artes takes its name from a set of 12 paintings that refer to the skies of the twelve months of the year. It is not that the execution of the series occupied the artist for an entire year, but it embodies the notion of time, and especially of duration, that his work involves.
